Enlightenment is gaining insight or wisdom into one’s true essence and Divine state. It is knowing who you are while in physical form, living in this higher awareness while here on Earth, and consciously transitioning into Source. The enlightened one’s physical form remains and does not dematerialize as the Ascended Masters do. See “embodiment.
