Enlightenment: Living in Higher Awareness While on Earth

Enlightenment is gaining insight or wisdom into one’s true essence and Divine state. It is knowing who you are while in physical form, living in this higher awareness while here on Earth, and consciously transitioning into Source. The enlightened one’s physical form remains and does not dematerialize, unlike that of the Ascended Masters. Some refer to this ultimate spiritual awakening as enlightenment, self-realization, nirvana, or awakening to the Truth about who you are. In this type of awakening, the person penetrates the veil that shields one from the Truth that they are not separate from Source. The individual moves into a higher level of Consciousness and a higher, lighter vibrational frequency—shifting from the denser, egoic state of duality consciousness to Unity and heart-based Consciousness. There is a collapse between experiencing oneself as an individual and the All—One. Here, the self dissolves, and what remains is Unity. It is the experience of Oneness. This rare experience can occur spontaneously or after years of spiritual discipline. It is a gift of grace, a mystical awakening that transcends the mind. Enlightenment is also considered a form of embodiment, integrating the higher self into physicality.
